EAT GREEN / DRINK LOCAL:  11/2

FOODSERVICE Industry-Only Portion:

4-6PM:  $6 Adv./$8 Door:

Open to FoodService Industry: Owners, Marketers, Managers and Supportive Staff!

You either are green, have been wanting to and can't find reasonable pricing, or have staff and customers who keep bleeping on about it, but you don't really know all that is involved.  For all of the above, GreenPlate has been working over the past 1 1/2 years to find the best local options for:

  • alternatives to plastics & styrofoam
  • composting
  • recycling (cardboard, plastics, glass, etc.)
  • grease pick-up
  • energy & water efficiency
  • local and organic foods

We are interested in helping businesses and restaurants be sustainable - both environmentally AND economically.

Now, we promised our restaurants we would avoid seating them in plastic chairs under florescent lights to get this info.  So, we're hosting it at a Brewery, on a Monday, with an after-party including 2 bands, tastings, drinks and loads of cowbell for whatever we can dream up.

The agenda: Speakers, Resources, Products, Program Introductions and "Speed-boothing".  Through presentations and "speed-boothing" you will hear from and have the chance to meet: farmers, meat producers, packaging, and restaurants, environmental efficiency consultants and more. Beer tasting and networking to follow. Limited seating!  Reserve now!
