Oceans Day 2009 - Chatahoochee

For Oceans Day 2009 GreenPlate went out for a 'test' river clean-up in a kayak and a canoe.  We rode up after work and it was beautiful and quiet on the river.  Turned out a few weeks before there had been a major river clean-up and we were still able to fill 4 garbage bags in a short run!  We separated recycling from waste and quickly learned we needed waders and trash tongs and pick-up tools (yuck!).  We will plan future clean-ups, so rally your friends and river-faring vehicles for the next venture!
